Train

Midway Airport (MDW) is connected to downtown by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Orange Line station, which is conveniently located right next-door. The railway station is clearly signposted and the journey into downtown Chicago makes several stops along the way, taking around 30 minutes in total. This journey is extremely cheap and straightforward.

Bus and Shuttle Services

The Bus and Shuttle Center is located in front of the main terminal building. Shuttle buses operate 24 hours a day. Continental Airport Express shuttle buses leave Chicago Midway every 15 minutes, running from 06:00 to 23:30. This service also offers shuttles to north suburban districts, with the pickup point being in front of the main terminal building. Pace Buses pickup at the Chicago Transit Authority Midway Station and serve south and southwest destinations.

For transfers to / from Midway and O'Hare International Airports, the Omega Airport Shuttle provides an efficient and inexpensive service, with shuttles operating from 07:00 to 22:00.

Taxis and Shared-ride Vans

Taxi cabs and shared-ride vans are readily available at all times from door M5. By sharing your journey with other passengers, you also share the cost, meaning that this can be a particularly good-value travel alternative.

Taxis provide a convenient and easy way to travel into nearby Chicago city and other destinations. The journey into central Chicago will take around 25 minutes, depending on traffic. Surcharges may be applicable, particularly when traveling late at night, and so it makes sense to inquire about these before you set off on the journey to your hotel or business meeting.
